i was just about to hop in the shower when i heard a loud noise come from downstairs. i went to go see what caused it and as i round the corner in the hallway i meet face to face with - a bird! really? a bird? in my hallway? yes. i shrieked. ok, i screamed. not that birds are scary but taken out of context, coming across one in your home is.
oh, did i mention i was nude? well, i was on my way to the shower…
so i run into the bedroom and close the door behind me and get some clothes on. i duck my head back out into the hallway, no sign of the bird anywhere. and then i look into the bathroom and there it is. sitting on the windowsill trying to figure out how to leave.
i close the door on it, trapping it in the bathroom. while i don’t want it to stay i also don’t want it frantically flying around my house trying to find an exit. now i know i can just open the window screen and it will happily fly out but i don’t know how my screens work. what? how can you not know how to use the screens? i know, i know… what can i say? i’m not the handiest person in the world.
so there the bird sat until c got back.

and just to assure you that no harm came to it, here is a photo just moments after it was set free -
