i forgot to mention
Tuesday, July 24th, 2012It occurred to me after I posted here yesterday about my new print and it being available in my Society6 shop that I never mentioned that I have a Society6 shop! Silly girl…
So, to fix that – I recently opened a shop on Society6 selling a few of my prints as either art prints, iphone cases, laptop skins, cards, stretched canvases… well, there’s quite a few options really, have a look for yourself right here.

Wednesday, April 4th, 2012Sculptural, tactile, industrial, just a few words that come to mind when looking at Timothy Johns work. And I do have a soft spot for pretty much anything created with felt. See more for yourself here.
gleena ceramics
Tuesday, March 6th, 2012Simple, sweet and colorful – three words I would use to describe Gleena ceramics. The work of Asya Palatova, “Gleena” means clay in Russian. Originally trained as a graphic designer, Asya returned to school to get her MFA with a concentration in ceramics after she fell in love with the process.
Influenced by childhood summers spent at her family country home Asya has created a line of ceramics that have a simple organic shape and beautiful translucent glazes that remind me of delicate bits of candy. Several of the pieces feature nature-inspired imagery such as the roomy tea bowls. Other pieces, like the number mugs, have a clear connection to Asya’s days as a graphic designer
Each piece is lovingly made by hand in Asya’s Pawtucket, RI studio.

Thursday, December 8th, 2011I came across Art Mind the other day and was immediately drawn in by the clean lines and stark white ceramics. The artist created a series of 99 ceramics, each one capturing a feeling. Such a wonderful idea and so well executed! I browsed through dozens of pieces, some I could see the feeling immediately, others it took me a bit longer to figure out. The entire collection is really interesting and certainly worth browsing through.
