twist recap

Monday, May 24th, 2010

a long overdue recap of the twist fair earlier this month. forgive me that these aren’t my actual photos from the show, none of them turned out very well.

there were some great vendors (as usual) and i was so happy to take part in the show.  some of my faves featured below -

amazing decoupaged plates by mary yanke. all of her work is beautiful, trying to pick just one favorite to show here was hard -

my

beautiful stationary from pressbound -

and some really cool hats from rocks and salt. i’m such a hat person! i’m sort of kicking myself for not having picked one up.

more fair news…

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

twist was great! i really want to put together a post to talk about all the super talented people who were there but at the moment i’m crazed.

in other news i’m going to be at two craft fairs this coming weekend – one in austin and one in philadelphia.  how you ask? cloning? time travel? nope, clay wood & cotton is going to have a booth at both events and they’re taking my work with them.

if you attend either let me know! i’d love to hear how both shows are.

twist fair

it’s that time of year again!  i’m off to northampton, ma. tomorrow to participate in the twist fair. one of my favorite fairs, it’s run by very cool people and held in an absolutely beautiful space.  if you’re in the area it’s definitely worth checking out. and hopefully i’ll remember to bring my camera this weekend, i forgot to bring it to the show at the brooklyn lyceum.

happy weekend, be back monday!

sachets

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

i’ve been making these little embroidered sachets lately.  i just can’t seem to stop myself.  i’ve made over thirty of them and don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. they’ll be available at clay wood & cotton and i may put a few in my etsy shop as well.

this weekend i’ll be participating in the brooklyn lyceum’s spring food & craft market. if you happen to be in the area you should definitely stop by to check it out. i’ve participated in holiday events at the lyceum and the shows have always been fantastic with a great mix of vendors.

you can get more info about it here and see a list of participating vendors here.

elephantine jewelry

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

i was given this necklace as a gift this past christmas (thanks b!)  instantly smitten, i asked where it was from and was told it was from a shop on etsy called elephantine.  all of the jewelry in the shop is beautiful, simple and delicate. the kind of jewelry you can wear with anything.  a few of my faves below.

clay wood & cotton

Friday, January 8th, 2010

over the weekend i made my way down to beacon to a new shop called clay wood & cotton.  now before i tell you how cute it is i must admit they carry some of my work so i am slightly biased :)

but truly, even if i was not involved with them it really is a great store!  housewares, paper goods, ceramics, as well as fabric and a few diy kits for the crafty among us.

busy girl

Monday, December 7th, 2009

my apologies that posting has been more sporadic than usual lately. i’ve been a busy bee. lots of holiday shows which have been keeping me printing in the studio all during the week and then away from home selling on the weekends.

this past sunday i attended the bizarre bazaar in boston. what a great show!  the cyclorama, where it was held, is a beautiful space and the crowd was fun and energetic. a great time all the way around!

my  neighbor at the show was albertine press. if you don’t already know their work i suggest you make yourself acquainted here and here.  i came home with this lovely calendar which you can see more photos of and purchase for yourself right here.
