chomp!

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

There are any number of reasons to love the work of Dana Fehsenfeld. The screenprinted fabrics feature a range of hand drawn patterns, the materials used are all sustainable and natural and everything is sewn by hand.  And best of all it’s called Chomp Industries (could the name be any cuter?)

son of a sailor

Monday, January 30th, 2012

Loving everything from Austin-based jewelry makers Son of a Sailor.  They opened their shop in May of last year but somehow escaped me until now.  I’d love about a dozen of the bracelets to stack up my arm.

Completely silly and not normally something I would go for, I’m absolutely loving these little plushies from Plush Off.  How f’in cute is that jar of pickles?  Or those cherries?  See more plush cuteness right here.

art mind

Thursday, December 8th, 2011

I came across Art Mind the other day and was immediately drawn in by the clean lines and stark white ceramics.  The artist created a series of 99 ceramics, each one capturing a feeling.  Such a wonderful idea and so well executed!  I browsed through dozens of pieces, some I could see the feeling immediately, others it took me a bit longer to figure out. The entire collection is really interesting and certainly worth browsing through.

Four of my favorites below – Wise, Tired, Torn and Stress.

Loving the entire line of jewelry from SMJD.  All of the pieces are knitted or crocheted. I love how textural and chunky they are but still really wearable.

branda

Monday, October 24th, 2011

Branda is the work of sisters Mariana and Paula.  Each and every piece in their shop is hand knit by them. You can see the care and attention to detail and design. Everything is so lovely! And at this time of year (at least here in the Northeast) who isn’t craving hats and scarves to keep us warm?

And even better, Mariana and Paula are graciously offering FREE SHIPPING to my readers! Simply use coupon code: ATAUBERBLOG at checkout.
