about
Alison Tauber is a graduate of the textile & surface design program of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She currently splits her time between working as a freelance designer and making (mostly screeprinted) items that she sells both online and at flea and craft markets.
Alison’s work is geared toward the idea that art can and should be usable and functional and that products made by hand have a vastly greater value than anything that is mass produced. She prints and sews everything in her studio using organic and recycled materials when possible.
One day soon she hopes to live on a sheep farm with many small dogs including (but not limited to) a dachshund and a king charles spaniel. In the meantime she’s happy just hanging out in Brooklyn with Chris and making things pretty.
