not only beautiful…
02.02.10this milk bottle from alyssa ettinger is one of my favorite handmade possessions. i love it for its beauty and simplicity, i love that it’s from brooklyn and because alyssa is a friend and i think everything she makes is pretty great.
this morning while reaching to get a book off of a shelf i knocked my milk bottle over and it tumbled to the floor! i was sure it was going to be in pieces. i looked down and there it was at my feet, not a scratch or a nick.
so not only are they beautiful but sturdy as hell.
i love allyssa’s ceramics too! i hope to buy something from her one day when i have a bit of spare change… i’m not really a ‘vase’ person but these are so lovely.
